Please select the primary pedestal (toilet fixture) option you would like to accompany your composting system.

Note; that the Urine-Diversion (UD) pedestal option is most suitable where there is high use in peek or large family gatherings.

Note; that with Urine Diversion, it is recommended that the compost mass is kept wet to avoid the pile drying out. Consider getting the hand-held bidet sprayer accessory for facilitating the hydration of compost.

A hardwearing Nano-Ceramic Non-Stick Coating is applied onto the inner side of the Pedestal (toilet fixture) for maximum cleanliness.

Note; basic cleaning will still be required.

Note; non-stick is hydrophobic and repels liquids only.

Add a wind-driven vent to create redundancy. The wind-driven vent will assist the fan under heavy wind conditions, keeping the system operational in the event of a power outage or fan failure.
    2 colours: white or black.

Select this reducing collar to adapt the vent from 150mm to 100mm.

Select this reducing collar adaptor to reduce the pipe further, from 100mm to 50mm. Compatible with this system.

Note: to reduce to 50mm, the 100mm adaptor above is also required - leave selected.

Note: systems with 50mm piping will require a mounting stay (not supplied).

Extend your soft connection leachate drainpipe to reach your hard connection leachate drainpipe or soak-pit/trench.

Soft connections allow for flexible placement of the composting tank in relation to a hard connection or drain.

The system is packed with 1 meter of 25mm leachate drainpipe as a standard.

Extend your leachate drain via in-ground hard connection to reach your soak-pit/trench (soak-away).

Most soak-aways should be installed 3 meters away from the foundations of the structure but this remains circumstantial to the site.

Run your leachate drain into a soak pit (vertical soak-away) or into a trench (horizontal soak-away).

    Sun-Mar™ | Centrex 3000 - A/F (Air Flow) 240

The Centrex 3000 A/F 240 is the electric, waterless version of the largest Centrex range. It is designed for use with a straight-fall waterless pedestal and is positioned for medium to heavy seasonal use and medium residential use where maximum compost volume is needed.

Featuring Sun-Mar’s™ patented Bio-drum™ technology, the Centrex is a true composting system that processes the compost in two stages within the unit itself. The Centrex 3000 composting toilet works on a continuous rotation design to maximize capacity and improve the composting process.

This large Centrex 3000 model will comfortably accommodate an eleven-person holiday-house usage, requiring only one compost removal before and after the holiday. In a residential capacity, the compost will have a different maintenance interval, and when used residentially by up to 4 adults, some compost will need to be emptied into the finishing drawer once every few months.

    Capacity and Best Fit

    • Holiday / seasonal use: up to 11 people
    • Residential use: up to 4 adults, with periodic compost removal into the finishing drawer
    • Best suited to: larger holiday houses, larger cabins, and medium residential underfloor waterless installations with reliable 240V power

Capacity note: Listed capacities refer to the number of people, on average, using the unit per day. Do not pick a unit that is below your real use case.

    How this system works

The Centrex 3000 A/F is the waterless version of the popular Centrex range. In the A/F (Air Flow) model, the waste falls under gravity into the drum of the composter. Multiple toilets are not possible with the A/F model as a straight fall is required.

The rotation of the BioDrum forces compost along the length of the Centrex 3000 and into an auto-drop mechanism, which lets the compost fall into the collection tray. Unlike the smaller Centrex 2000, the drum does not have to be rotated backward for emptying — the handle can continue turning in a clockwise direction and allow material to work along the drum and deposit into the separate collection box.

The Centrex 3000 A/F features a 370-watt thermostatically controlled heater in a sealed compartment under the unit and the standard Sun-Mar 30-watt turbofan to supply oxygen to the pile, with a 2" vent stack to remove evaporating liquid and eliminate odours. The increased surface area in the evaporating chamber, coupled with the larger heating element, also provides better evaporation on electric units.

The Centrex 3000 A/F is supplied with a 1" drain hose which should be connected to the 1" drain at the bottom of the unit. This drain hose ensures any excess liquids are removed to a small subsurface gravel absorption trench.

Fixture note: The Sun-Mar Centrex AirFlow Systems come with Sun-Mar™ Dry Toilet Elongated Pedestal or Premium Pedestal - The Polymarble options only.
