    Sun-Mar™ | Centrex 2000 - A/F (AirFlow) 240

    Manufacturer: Sun-Mar™
    SKU: SMC-2000 A/F 240
The Sun-Mar Centrex system range is a split system, also known as an underfloor model. This means that the holding chamber is separate from the actual toilet pedestal itself. The major advantage of these systems is that they allow for greater holding capacity and therefore tend to be lower maintenance. If you have below-floor space for installation, then this is the range for you.

Please select the primary pedestal (toilet fixture) option you would like to accompany your composting system.

Note; that the Urine-Diversion (UD) pedestal option is most suitable where there is high use in peek or large family gatherings.

Note; that with Urine Diversion, it is recommended that the compost mass is kept wet to avoid the pile drying out. Consider getting the hand-held bidet sprayer accessory for facilitating the hydration of compost.

A hardwearing Nano-Ceramic Non-Stick Coating is applied onto the inner side of the Pedestal (toilet fixture) for maximum cleanliness.

Note; basic cleaning will still be required.

Note; non-stick is hydrophobic and repels liquids only.

Add a wind-driven vent to create redundancy. The wind-driven vent will assist the fan under heavy wind conditions and keep the system going in case of power outage or fan failure.
Please choose from 2 colours: white or black.

Select this reducing collar to adapt the wind-driven vent from 150mm to 100mm.

Select this reducing collar adaptor to reduce the pipe further, from 100mm to 50mm. Compatible with this system.

Note: to reduce to 50mm, the 100mm adaptor above is also required - leave selected.

Note: systems with 50mm piping will require a mounting stay (not supplied).

Extend your soft connection leachate drainpipe to reach your hard connection leachate drainpipe or soak-pit/trench.

Soft connections allow for flexible placement of the composting tank in relation to a hard connection or drain.

The system is packed with 1 meter of 25mm leachate drainpipe as a standard.

Extend your leachate drain via in-ground hard connection to reach your soak-pit/trench (soak-away).

Most soak-aways should be installed 3 meters away from the foundations of the structure but this remains circumstantial to the site.

Run your leachate drain into a soak pit (vertical soak-away) or into a trench (horizontal soak-away).

Perfect for medium to heavy seasonal or light residential use, the Centrex 2000 allows for both a longer composting cycle and a larger compost waste volume

Featuring Sun-Mar's™ patented Bio-drum™ technology, the Centrex is a true composting system that processes the compost in two stages within the unit itself.

The Centrex 2000 A/F works on a mixing design to maximize its capacity and improve the composting process. The rotation of the BioDrum blends the compost inside of the Centrex 2000 until the counter rotation is required to empty with the auto-drop mechanism, which lets the compost fall into the collection tray.

The Centrex 2000 A/F is the waterless version of the popular Centrex range. In the A/F (AirFlow) model, the waste falls under gravity into the drum of the composter. In the case of the micro flush model the waste is transferred by the 500mL flush and multiple pedestals can be installed with one composter.

Multiple toilets are not possible with the AF model as a straight fall is required.

The Centrex 3000 A/F is a 240-volt unit as standard. The solar-compatible Centrex 3000 A/F NE version is a 12-volt (1.9-watt fan) version. See Link

The Centrex 2000 A/F is supplied with a 1" drain hose which should be connected to the 1" drain at the bottom of the unit. This drain hose ensures any excess liquids are removed to a small subsurface gravel absorption trench.

Whilst not as large as the Centrex 3000, the Centrex 2000 model still comfortably accommodates a seven-person holiday house usage, requiring only one compost removal before and after the Holiday.

In a residential capacity, the compost will have a different maintenance interval.

ELECTRICAL RATING Fan Watts (Required or Optional Hookup) 1.9 (Required)
    DIMENSIONS 730mm x 1200mm x 770mm
FLOORSPACE REQUIRED Height to Bottom – Top of Waste Inlet Assembly 749m m Vent Inlet Center Distance From Rear – Left Side 305mm Height to Center of Top of Vent Outlet Assembly 597mm

The Centrex 2000 A/F features a 370-watt thermostatically controlled heater in a sealed compartment under the unit and the standard Sun-Mar 30-watt turbofan to supply oxygen to the pile, with a 2" vent stack to remove evaporating liquid and eliminate all odors.

The increased surface area in the evaporating chamber coupled with the larger heating element also provides better evaporation on electric units.

When used seasonally by up to 7-9 adults, compost will normally only need removal annually each spring. In residential use, compost will have to be extracted more frequently.

When used residentially by up to 4 adults, some compost will need to be emptied into the finishing drawer once every few months.

    Capacity Notes

Listed capacities refer to the number of people, on average, using the unit per day. Do not pick a unit that is below your capacity.

    Fixture Notes

The Sun-Mar Centrex AirFlow Systems come with Polymarble Palisade and Pandora fixtures options only.
